INITIATIVES OUTLINE

During the retreat the board also identified several initiatives that will be pursued immediately.  They are:  updates of the newsletter and website formats; a reorganization of board communications between themselves as directors and with the membership; and, plans for increased visibility and revenue for the association.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE APPOINTED

EWQA President, Jon Davis, appointed a Legislative Committee.  Committee members will be contacting members in each of the association’s states to find out what legislative/political/legal concerns they have and to get suggestions for issues the association should pursue.  Committee members are:  Randy Eddinger, Greg Gruett, Mike Urbans and Jon Davis, Ex Officio.  Any member interested in serving on this committee can contact Jane Cain at association headquarters, 540-740-3329.  

AVERY JOINS BOARD

John Avery, Regional Sales Manager for Stenner Pump Company has been appointed to the Board of Directors to fulfill the term vacated by Mike Keller,.  Keller, the association’s vice president, resigned from the board due to a shift in his duties at Sybron Chemicals.  We welcome John to the board and wish Mike well in his new position.
