Our goal is to help members provide quality water by promoting industry best practices, developing educational programs and advancing business ethics and profitability.
EWQA attendees sharing quality time as they network, visit with old friends and make new ones. The EWQA 2014 Conference and Tradeshow offered many firsts. First time in Hunt Valley, MD (near Baltimore), in lots of horse country, great shopping and golf. First time for EWQA that in addition to the great bid items from WQA and many attendees a new level of elevated auction items were added to the list of quality bid items. This year the fantastic auctioneer duo, Mike Urbans and Peter Auchincloss (no one does it better than these two), offered two nights in Santa Barbara, hot air balloon ride, Cessna ride, jewelry, 4 day cruise to exotic Bahamian ports, upscale BBQ, tickets to favorite sports venue and much much more. Special thanks to all that took home some great items and memories. The Reception was well attended and once again ran over the allotted time (the lights were flashed on/off so staff could go home). Attendees bonded with many from throughout the U.S. and enjoyed great food and the ever popular no-host bar. WQA's Dr. Tanya Lubner helped everyone learn more about the new WQA Modular Education program which will have a positive impact on business and careers as it continues to roll out. In addition to helping educate attendees on the new Modular Education program, Dr. Lubner also provided an uplifting and informed Keynote address. EWQA is fortunate to have someone of Dr. Lubnars skillsets educate and inform all not just for EWQA but throughout the country on vital water treatment issues. Our EWQA President, Brent Golding once again took up the challenge of having to play golf with some eager "clubbers" from the west to the east coast. He enjoyed the time to bond and almost missed the board meeting due to an errant golf cart (his story). For the 2d year in a row, exhibitors and attendees were able to attend most training sessions without missing the exhibition which included lunch and more. The EWQA is working hard on planning for the 2015 Convention/Show with the goal of reducing pricing, providing more fun and educational topics.
